A Life Poured Out

Have you heard this song?

If you follow me on twitter, then you've seen me tweet this song multiple times. Why?

We all want to know our purpose here on earth. Some find their purpose sooner than others. We pray and ask God to show us what we're supposed to do:

Now that we're here
Here in your presence
Humbly we bow
Speak to us now
Now that we're here
Here in your presence
We're waiting to hear from you

We're open

So we say that we want to hear God and that we are open to what he has to say.  If we hear from God, we will take what he has said and apply it to our lives:

Fill us up and send us out

Did you know that God has already spoken to you and given you the talents He wants you to share with the world?  He has already "filled you up."  We spend a lot of time in denial of those talents because we want a job that will make us enough money to live the comfortable life we aspire to.  We are unwilling to sacrifice anything in order to live the life ordained for us.

I wanna live a life poured out

Are you sharing your gifts with the world?  Whatever talent you have, be it large or small, believe that it helps someone, somewhere in the world. Your random photos may bring a smile to someone who's going through a hard time.  That randomly posted music video may inspire someone to write/produce their own song.  That recipe you shared may inspire a new family tradition.  That shoulder you offered may be the only one someone has.

So, live your life poured out.  That's the only way we can change the world.

I'm living a life poured out.  Are you?
